Producer Shamar interviews Allen Turner, a professor at DePaul University who designs video and tabletop games. He is also a storyteller and educator.

We talk about how you come up with the story for a game, how games get made, the best and most challenging parts of his career, and how his personal story about growing up led to him to do this work.

His tabletop RPG game Ehdrigohr is a non-traditional fantasy world that takes traditional storytelling elements from the myths and folklore of tribal and indigenous cultures around the world, with particular inspiration from the Lakota people to create fate-based adventures.
